Dr. Emile DeVito is the Manager of Science and Stewardship for the NJ Conservation Foundation. While "ecologist" is his official scientific classification, his credentials heavily overlap with ornithology.
He earned his PH.D. in ecology for his specific research on bird communities and vegetation landscapes in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. His professional duties include conducting population surveys of migratory songbirds and coastal bird species. He has served on the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Council and developed migratory songbird curricula.
